About The Project

La Libreta

A Fresh take on Tradition

La Libreta was a restaurant in the mountains of Madrid, combining traditional cooking with a more contemporary approach and a strong focus on local, seasonal ingredients.

I worked with the team to create a website that reflected that balance — warm and handcrafted, but clean and contemporary.

I designed and developed the responsive website, created the illustrations and designed the restaurant menu. Photography and generous use of white space were central to the experience, giving the food and the setting room to speak for themselves.

The project brought together web design, development and illustration into one visual language that felt both rustic and refined.

The website is great. It captures our essence. It is elegant and clean. The elements that separate one section from another and the strong presence of photos are perfectly in line with the style we were looking for. Thanks a lot.

Digital Identity
Rustic, but not old-fashioned

The visual direction was built around the contrast at the heart of La Libreta: traditional cooking with a modern point of view.

Warm, earthy tones, organic illustrations and subtle handcrafted details were balanced with structured typography, clean layouts and plenty of space.

The result was a website that felt natural and welcoming without becoming overly rustic — a digital extension of the restaurant itself.
